With the application of this technique it is possible to identify and diagnose the presence of one of three viral strains these can present mainly in a culture shrimp sample. The objective of this modification in the technique is diminishing the cost of the analysis, speeding up the results delivery time. The diagnostic procedure gathers a series of advantages such as high specificity and more sensibility than any of the other available diagnostic procedures for the detection of white spot virus.
