PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent electrostatic offsetting due to a contact function member or that due to the peeling operation of a material to be fixed. SOLUTION: A potential change correcting means 6 to correct a local electrostatic potential change on an insulated mold-released layer 4 in accordance with the contact of the contact function member 5 in a restoring direction is provided on the upstream side of a fixing nip area and also the downstream side of the contact position of the contact function member 5 out of the periphery of a fixing member 1 coated with the insulated mold-released layer 4, or the potential change correcting means 6 to correct the local electrostatic potential change on the insulated mold-released layer 4 in accordance with the peeling operation of the material to be fixed 3 in the restoring direction is provided on the downstream side of a peeling part HP at which the material to be fixed 3 (shown by a two-dot chain line in a figure) is peeled after passing through the fixing nip area out of the periphery of the fixing member 1 coated with the insulated mold-released layer 4.
