PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angle measuring device whose measuring accuracy is increased, whose handling and maintenance are easy and which is small and lightweight by a method wherein a measuring range is expanded without a need of setting the central point of an angle of rotation at a time when an angle between two elements is measured. SOLUTION: Mounting plates 7, 8 are connected via an elastic strip 9. Elastic rubber spacers 10-1, 10-2 are attached longitudinally to both sides of the elastic strip 9 so as to be brought into close contact. Elastic strips 11-1, 11-2 are attached longitudinally to outer faces of the spacers 10-1, 10-2, ends on one side are fixed, and ends on the other side are freely slidable. All the components excluding the mounting plates 7, 8 are gripped by a cylindrical coil or a cylindrical rubber sheath so as to form one cable structure. When the cable structure and the mounting plates 7, 8 are turned and moved relatively, a transmission block 14 which electrically and mechanically detects or transmits the difference of a strip length in free sliding ends of the elastic strips on both sides from among the three elastic strips is provided.
