PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems in the conventional processing method that data transfer cannot be completed sometimes within prescribed time since retry operations are performed until an error is recovered, when the error is generated in the case of data reproduction and only one piece of information about the error in case it is not recovered is reported to a host system 30, even if the error is generated in plural groups 37 of unit data. SOLUTION: Retry frequency, when the error is generated is suppressed in a range in which the data transfer, is performed within the prescribed time, error information data 39 to indicate all pieces of error information is created and reported to the host system 30 together with read data 38. Coexistence between data processing for allowing the error and ones which are not allowed errors is realized, without having to request a severe specification to a magnetic disk device. |
