PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the heat resistance and heat insulation of a fireproof structure favorably, by densely laying fireproof insulating materials on a work execution plane. SOLUTION: When arranging a fireproof insulating material 14 of ceramic fibers in the space S between the inside periphery of an inspection port 5 provided in a boiler and the cover 7 attached to the inspection port 5 so as to be openable, the fireproof insulating material 14 is transformed to be small by binding tightly the periphery of the material 14 arranged at the cover 7 with a vinyl tape which does not change at normal temperature and fuses when the temperature within a furnace goes high accompanying the operation of the boiler. Before operation of the boiler, the space S is not filled with the material 14, but once the operation of the boiler is started, the vinyl tape fuses by the elevation of the in-furnace temperature, and the material 14 is released from tight binding, and enlarges to the former size so as to block the space S.
