The invention relates to a lubricant for greasing, sealing and protecting threaded joints and to a process for producing the same. According to the invention, the lubricant comprises 0.5 ...4.5 % C12-hydroxy stearic acid, at most 6 % stearin, 0.4 ...0.8 % lithium hydroxide monohydrate, at most 70 % anorganic powders, up to 3 % multifunctional additive and up to 100% naphthenic mineral oil and/or synthetic oil for the remainder. According to the invention, the process for producing the lubricant consists in incorporating the specific additives in a hydroxystearate and/or lithium stearate dispersion in mineral and/or synthetic oil.
