PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the leakage flow of a refrigerant and lubricating oil from gaps between components to enhance compressor performance by fixing cylinders so as to form the optimum gap between the cylinder and a piston, appropriately positioning and assembling partition plates installed between the cylinders relative to the cylinders in order to keep a seal between the partition plate and en edge surface of the piston, and enhance the assembly accuracy of these components and working property in the rotary compressor with plural cylinders. SOLUTION: In the rotary compressor with plural cylinders, a pair or more communication holes whose hole center positions are the same are installed in the cylinders and the partition plates, and the inner diameters of the communication holes of the partition plates are made smaller than those of the communication holes of the cylinders. Plural cylinders are assembled by appropriately setting gaps between the pistons and the cylinders, and at the same time, a tapered positioning jig is inserted into a pair or more communication holes installed in the cylinders and the partition plates, and the partition plates are positioned relative to and assembled into the cylinders.
