PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the control quality of an automatic slide door device formed freely to be manually opened and closed by eliminating a malfunction when manually sliding a slide door to the opening position. SOLUTION: This automatic slide door device is provided with a clutch 10 for disconnecting the connection between a motor 8 and a slide door on the way of a drive transmitting mechanism 7 for transmitting the driving force of the motor 8 to a driving wire 6 connected to the slide door, and an automatic slide door control unit 20 for carrying out the automatic opening and closing control for automatically sliding the slide door for opening and closing and the manual opening and closing control for manually sliding the door for opening and closing. The automatic slide door control unit 20 carries out the opening time control for driving the motor 8 in the opening direction and while for fastening the clutch 10 so as to pull the driving wire 6 in the opening direction when a nearly opening detecting means detects the slide door positioned near the opening position.
