<p>An electrical receptacle adapted to be recessed into a work surface, having concealed compartments containing modular ports for connection to a remote power supply and/or communications devices and an exposed compartment for connecting cables to the ports. The ports may be mounted on the front and/or rear partitions of the exposed compartment, which isolate the exposed compartment from the concealed compartments. Preferably the partitions are disposed at oblique angles relative to the work surface to facilitate the connection and detachment of cables. The modular ports may be engaged to the housing in snap-fit relation and the spacers in slip-fit relation.</p> |
