The invention relates to a device for manufacturing pallets (18), comprising at least one assembly device for the production of pallets (18) which are composed of pallet blocks (1), running boards (2), transverse boards (16), and cover boards (17). The aim of the invention is to provide a device for manufacturing pallets which reduces the number of handlers; enables all pallet components to be supplied automatically and reliably; ensures high work safety combined with high productivity; does not require a gripper for removing the manufactured pallet from the assembly device; ensures exact geometry of the tolerance zone of the pallet size, with a minimised margin of error, for all pallets manufactured using said device; and which, furthermore, is especially characterised by very short production times. To this end, the skids (4) and the complete pallet are nailed with precise mechanical positioning and adjustment of position of all pallet components before and during the assembly process. All assembly elements (nails) to be arranged on a surface are always introduced in one operating cycle.
