An information providing method for providing information on an inspection device or the like to a requestor requesting the acquisition of an inspection device for a circuit board, the method comprising the step of receiving board specification information specifying the specifications of the circuit board, the step of providing the received board specification information to suppliers, the step of receiving product information that can be provided by suppliers from them, and the step of providing the received product information to the requestor, thereby providing to a requestor various elements of information offered by respective suppliers.
