摘要 The subject of the invention is an arrangement and a corresponding method for generating high voltage from a low-voltage supply source, preferably a commercially available battery or an accumulator, using a charge reservoir that can be charged and recharged via a charge pump to the desired high voltage or higher. According to the invention, in order for a high voltage signal which is extensively noise-free to be available at least during certain operating phases, e.g., during a measurement process, a first switching device is provided for regulated supply of electric charge from the precharged charge reservoir to a separate storage capacitor. By means of a second switching device, a regulated discharge from the storage capacitor is ensured when the latter is overcharged, for example, for readjustment of the high voltage to be generated. A capacitive voltage divider which reduces the high voltage without losses is used to determine the actual value of the high voltage. The proportionally reduced actual value is used to regulate the high voltage. At very small currents, the desired high voltage can be maintained by means of this step for a substantially longer time than by using an ohmic voltage divider. The invention is particularly advantageous for optoelectronic distance measuring equipment for a high dynamic range in which the measurement signal reflected from a remote object and possibly also a reference signal generated within the equipment is recorded by avalanche photodiodes which require for their operation a low-power high voltage which is free from noise and can be changed quickly.
