The front section (1) of a vehicle, and especially an automobile, has a leading longitudinal carrier (6) at the level of the front fender (5). It extends as far as the wall (2) between the vehicle interior (3) and the front section. A trailing longitudinal carrier (9) is at the level of the floor plate (24). An additional leading longitudinal carrier (10) is below the first, and at the level of the trailing carrier, supported by an auxiliary frame (12) in the event of impact collision, held at spaced mounting points (28,29).
