Class 141 A glove is formed of an impervious film of fused plasticised polyvinyl chloride &c. having a relatively fine uneven outer surface 17 and a relatively coarse uneven inner surface 18. The average film thickness is 2 to 3 mils and the uneven surface 18 is produced by including in the dispersion, solution or latex a number of particles of resin or sand, pumice &c. of 5 mils in diameter. In Fig. 1, the glove comprises thumb- and finger-stalls 11-13 extending from a skirt portion 15 which flares outwardly from the base of the stalls to provide a loose covering for the metacorpel portion of the hand. The ratio of the peripheral dimension of the face edge of the skirt portion to the length of this portion is between 3:1 and 11:1. The glove may have a greater or smaller number of finger-stalls than those shown in Fig. 1 and is provided with an annular rib 16 on its outer surface.</p> |
