<p>A method for reducing the concentration of toxins in water characterised in that the water is contacted with a clay or a clay-containing material. The clay material may be treated with a quaternary ammonium salt or an organic cationic polymer. The method os particularly suitable for removing algal toxins, such as those produced by algal blooms of blue-green algae, from water.</p> |
