PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device for an automobile with little deterioration of a recording image regardless of a clutch operation. SOLUTION: In an image recording device 8 used on an automobile comprising a speed change clutch 2, the clutch 2 operation is detected by a clutch pedal operation detecting circuit 7 so that the recording operation of the image recording device for an automobile can be stopped temporarily in the case the clutch operation is detected.
