PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an ornamental curtain, ensuring a fine and clear painting of stereoscopic effect to be conducted in a relatively simple operational process without relying on embroidery. SOLUTION: This method for producing an ornamental curtain comprises the following eight steps: A. a rough sketch P is drawn with a water-based paint on a silk-weave fabric 1, B. a paste is put in a stringy fashion along the line of the rough sketch P, C. another paste is put on a portion of the rough sketch P divided by the above stringy paste so as to cover the surface of the fabric 1, D. the background portion of the rough sketch P on the fabric 1 where the above-mentioned two kinds of pastes are not put undergoes a ground dyeing with a specified color assigned, E. the above two kinds of pastes are washed off the fabric 1, F. the respective portions of the rough sketch P undergo corresponding specified paintings, G. a composite paste 6 comprising a raising paste for 'yuzen' and a golden powder adhesive material is put on specified spots of the rough sketch P, and H. the surface of the composite paste 6 is decorated by sprinkling the composite paste 6 with golden or silvery powder or pressing golden or silvery foil on the composite paste 6.
