PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settling tank to which an undiluted solution is supplied without raising the solid content so that solid-liquid separation is efficiently carried out. SOLUTION: This settling tank 20 is used for the solid-liquid separation of the undiluted solution containing the solid content such as sludge. The tank 20 is provided with a supply pipeline 26 for supplying the undiluted solution, a bottom-blind cylindrical supply pipe 27 which is arranged at the tip of the pipeline 26 and is used as the supply port of the undiluted solution from the pipeline 26 and a guide pipe 28 which is arranged to surround the pipe 27 and guide the undiluted solution supplied from the pipe 27 toward the bottom of the tank 20. The respective axes of the pipes 27 and 28 are disposed almost vertically. The upper side of the pipe 27 is opened and the bottom side is sealed. The opening 27a is used as the undiluted solution supply port and disposed at the position upper than the undiluted solution level of the tank 20.
