PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the differences in brightness among plural images and to correct the color tones of a composite image by deciding the central value of a density distribution of pixels of an overlapping area of two sheets of images and then multiplying the density value of each pixel of one of both images by the ratio set between the central value of both images. SOLUTION: When the central arithmetic processing circuit of an image processor 5 executes an operation program, a matching means 21 decides on a specific image that overlaps each image of an input image string and also obtains matching information to show the positional relation between both overlapping images. An image correction means 22 refers to the matching information on each image to correct the density value of each image of the input image strings. A composting means 23 composites plural images which have undergone the correction of their density values. Then the central value of a density distribution of the pixels of an overlapping area of two images and the density value of each pixel of one of both images is multiplied by the ratio set between the central value of both images to correct the density value. |
