PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet unit and an ink jet printing system in which printing can be performed with a touch corresponding to the kind of a cloth. SOLUTION: A server 9 of a clothing sales company sets up a virtual mail of various clothing items in a network 1 and clients (3, 4, 5, 7) can look up explanation of articles of commerce including the image, number, price, and size of a plurality of kinds of clothing item, the kind (material and mixing rate of spinning) and country of production of a cloth before offering purchase. The client is connected directly or through an intranet 2 with an ink jet unit (6 or 8) using solid ink and print data corresponding to the kind of cloth is provided therein. The client can call data of the kind of cloth of an article of commerce selected in the virtual mail from the memory of its own machine and deliver that data to the inkjet unit thus performing printing with a touch corresponding to the kind of a selected cloth. |
