A document file, Fig. 1, consists of a single sheet folded at 1a, 3, and 4 to provide a cover 1, and a folder 2 for the documents 5 which may be temporarily secured adjacent the fold 4 in any way. Fig. 5 shows a cover 15 which is scored &c. at 16 on the spine, and a folder which forms an extension of the cover and is zig-zag folded along the spine at 17 to provide separate compartments to receive documents 18-20. Modifications are described wherein the folder is integral with the cover and provided with a central fold and a short opposite side, or two such folders may be provided. Pockets to receive loose paper slips &c. may be arranged between the cover and the folder. In Fig. 6, the fold 21 of the folder is spaced from the spine fold of the cover to leave a zone 22 which enables a number of files to be assembled together. Transparent plastic materials may be used in the file construction.</p> |
