PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum casting method using a lost pattern with which the lost pattern can fully be lost in extremely short time and the fear of generating soot and carburizing phenomenon, is not developed. SOLUTION: Coating agent 2 is applied on the surface of the lost pattern 1 and this is burried into the inner part of a grain layer 4 in a flask 3 possible to reduce the pressure. After heating this grain layer 4 higher than the melting point of the lost pattern 1 with hot blast introduced from a hot blast introducing pipe 9, the lost pattern 1 is decomposed, gasified and lost by reducing the pressure in the flask 3 and then, molten metal is poured into a hollow part formed in the flask 3 while a decompressed state is kept.
