PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method for an FRP pressure vessel which makes excellent the properties of impregnation of fibers with resin in molding and the chemical resistance of a molded material and which enables further improvement of a molding cycle and reduction of the cost of the molding. SOLUTION: In this molding method for the FRP pressure vessel, a fibrous material (C) is impregnated with an unsaturated polyester resin (B-1) containing a polymerization initiator (A) obtained by combining a visible light polymerization initiator and/or an organic boron compound with an acid compound or by combining further a hexaryl biimidazole compound with this combination and/or a vinyl ester resin (B-2) containing that polymerization initiator, and the material is irradiated by a visible light and/or a light of a wavelength in a near-infrared region after winding or simultaneously with the winding, so as to be set.
