Method for producing electrical contact strips

Production of electrical contact strips on metallic walls made from materials having a tendency towards surface oxidation, e.g. sheet titanium or aluminum, comprises applying two conductor wires (3) made from electrically conducting material onto a sheet titanium strip (2) using a laser pressure welding process; and fixing the contact strips produced to a sheet (4) to be prepared using laser welding in the known way. Preferred Features: The contact strip is made from sheet titanium with CuMn wires in the laser pressure welding process. The process is continuously carried out by unwinding the sheets and/or wires from coils. A solder material based on silver is additionally applied.
