PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for on-press imaging lithography printing capable of dealing with digital image data and rapidly printing many printed products of a clear image at a low cost. SOLUTION: The method for on-press imaging lithography printing comprises the steps of mainly scanning by rotating a plate cylinder for mounting a plate material in the case of imaging by using an ink jet method for discharging an ink containing a lipophilic component from a recording head having a plurality of discharging channels, and continuously sub-scanning the head by using the head having the channels of [X*(N/K)+1] [pieces] at a constant speed [X*(N/K)+1] [dots/one circumference], wherein N[dots/25.4 mm] is an imaging resolution on the plate material in the sub-scanning direction, K [dots/25.4 mm] is a channel density of the head in the sub-scanning direction and X is an arbitrary positive integer, in the case of imaging while moving the head in parallel direction (sub-scanning direction) with an axis of the cylinder. |
