PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device which can be operated by player's natural motion without requiring player's direct operation to an operating means, etc. SOLUTION: A video monitor 13 is set on the front face of the box body 2 of this game device. An operating panel 11 is equipped immediately under the video monitor 13 and a light intercepting part 15 for detecting a position on both sides of the upper part of the video monitor 13. The box body 2 disposed under the video monitor 13 is provided therein with a game processing board 10 to process the whole game device, an operating mean control board 16 to control maracas-shaped operating means 20 operated by a player, and a position detecting board 17 to detect positions of the operating means 20.
