PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a minus ion generator which is capable of uniformly supply ing minus ions into a room and to provide an air cleaner and air conditioner having such minus ion generator. SOLUTION: The minus ion generator has a needle-like discharge electrodes 1 for releasing the minus ions, an electrode fixing base material 2 for supporting the discharge electrodes 1 and a high-voltage generating unit 4 for impressing high voltage to the discharge electrodes 1. The discharge electrodes 1 have discharge electrodes 1a and 1b arranged in a direction where the directing directions of the front ends spread from each other.
