COPPER/ZINC CARBON MONOXIDE CONVERSION CATALYST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a carbon monoxide conversion catalyst having low pressure loss, low heat capacity and high activity in a fuel cell using hydrocarbons such as natural gas as a raw material. SOLUTION: The copper/zinc carbon monoxide conversion catalyst is a catalyst obtained by (1) mixing a mixed solution of copper formate and zinc formate with an aqueous solution of an alkali material to form precipitate and (2) firing the resultant precipitate. The honeycomb like copper/zinc carbon monoxide conversion catalyst is a catalyst obtained by (1) mixing a mixed solution of copper formate and zinc formate with an aqueous solution of an alkali material to form precipitate, (2') adding water to the resultant precipitate to make slurry and (3) wash-coating the surface of a honeycomb carrier with the slurry.
