PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for inspecting ejection of ink from the head of an ink jet printer which can be used in a method employing a recording medium printed on a paper, or the like, and can detect the state of an ejected liquid drop accurately. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for inspecting ink jet comprises a light source 2 and an image pickup means 3 disposed oppositely to a scattering plate 4 wherein a liquid drop 5 to be measured is located between the light source 2, the image pickup means 3 and the scattering plate 4, light irradiated from the light source 2 is scattered by the scattering plate 4 and the image of the liquid drop 5 is picked up by the imaging means 3. |
