PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle control device of a machine tool capable of controlling high speed rotation including highly accurate positioning by one spindle. SOLUTION: The spindle control device of the machine tool for controlling the spindle of the machine tool comprises a three-phase motor 30 for rotating the spindle, a hole sensor 31 for detecting the phase of the three-phase motor 30, an encoder 4 for detecting the rotational angle of the three-phase motor 30, a PWM amplifier 33 for driving the three-phase motor, a linear amplifier 34 for driving the three-phase motor and a switching circuit 37 for switching the condition in which the three-phase motor is driven by the PWM amplifier and the condition in which the three-phase motor is driven by the linear amplifier according to the rotational speed of the spindle.
