The condenser (31) is a perforated drum or belt. The mean diameter (D) of the condenser suction openings is 0.8-1.0 mm, and preferably 40-100% of the condenser zone width (SB). The axial gap (DV) between two openings (313) is 1.2-1.5 mm on the sliver movement line. The lateral gap (DH) between rows of holes in 1.0-1.3 mm. A shrouding guide is over the circumference of the condenser (31) at the condensing area (311). The suction opening (371) of the suction unit has a longitudinal line parallel to the sliver movement. The suction unit has an axial adjustment against the condenser (31).</p> |
