PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication method, etc., for authenticating a person's identity, etc., by a system that is quite different from the conventional system. SOLUTION: This authentication method uses a bar code and includes a step to receive a bar code request signal from a person to be authenticated, a step to decide whether the person to be authenticated is recorded on a data base, a step to generate a bar code when the data on the person to be authenticated is recorded on the data base, a step to transmit the bar code to the originator number of the person to be authenticated and also to store the bar code in a bard code data base, a step to receive the bar code presented by the person to be authenticated and transmitted from an authentication requester requests his/her authentication, a step to decide whether the received bar code is identical to the bar code that is stored in the bar code data base and a step to transmit an authentication signal to the authentication requester when the received bar code is stored in the bar code data base. |
