PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image decoder that can reduce a time required for read skipping of a specific picture so as to attain stable high-speed reproduction. SOLUTION: A header information detection section 102 detects a picture type stored in a picture header of image data, and when the detected picture type of a B picture at setting of a high-speed reproduction mode, a data storage control section 103 does not output the B picture as its control, then a VBV buffer 104 stores only I and P pictures at high-speed reproduction so as to avoid data of read-skipping at high-speed reproduction. |
