PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the recording device and the recording method of an optical disk capable of improving recording quality at a time just after a recording is started. SOLUTION: In an optical disk recording device having a light emitting means 9 emitting a light to be used for writing information to an optical disk, light quantity control means 3, 4, 5 controlling the light quantity of the light emitted by the light emitting means 9 to be constant, a constant-value output means 6 supplying constant energy to the means 9 and a selection means 7 selecting either the light quantity control means 3, 4, 5 or the constant-value output means 6, the selection means 7 is constituted so as to select the constant- value output means 6 for a fixed period from the starting of the recording to the optical disk and the light quantity control means 3, 4, 5 thereafter. |
