PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination apparatus capable of increasing quantity of light and being inexpensive and easy to assemble. SOLUTION: A number of emitters 9 are placed on a substrate 8, with their illumination surfaces 9A directed frontward, and a lens 10 is arranged in contact with or adjacent to the illumination surfaces of the emitters 9 for focusing lights illuminated with the emitters 9. The lights passing through the lens 10 are introduced to light introduction ends 7 of a bunch of optical fibers 6 consisting of a plurality of optical fibers.
