PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow velocity sensor whose sensitivity is enhanced without increasing a circuit scale and a power consumption. SOLUTION: A first heat-conduction preventive means 1g-1 which is installed between at least one cold junction Sr of a thermocouple 1e or 1f and a support base 1a prevents the conduction of heat to the cold junction Sr from a heater 1c via the support base 1a. A second heat-conduction preventive means 1g-2 which is installed between the cold junction Sr of the thermocouple 1e or 1f and a fluid channel in which a fluid flows prevents the conduction of heat to the cold junction Sr from the heater 1c via the fluid.
