The trim panel (2), for the side door of a vehicle, is designed to be fixed on to the wall (1), of the door, facing the passenger compartment. It is formed with a recess (4), at the bottom of which, is fitted a module (6), which encloses an inflatable air bag. A cover (10) is fitted over the recess and linked to the panel by fixings, which are capable of giving way under the pressure of the air bag inflation. An Independent claim is also included for the door.
