PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-proof connector which can prevent the situation a protruded part of a water-proof member is pushed away inside by a tip part of the counter side housing. SOLUTION: A male housing 10 is equipped with a fitting space 34 in which a skirt part 11 of a female housing 20 can be housed. At a bottom part 34A of the fitting space 34, the outside along a diameter direction is dug backwards where a stage-formed part 35 is installed and retained so that a convex part 39 that has been installed at a seal ring 36 can be fitted into the stage-form part 35. On this account, the force by which the protruded part 38 is pushed away inside along the diameter direction by an inclined face 11B installed at a tip part 11A of the skirt part 11 can be regulated by the existence of the stage-formed part 35, and that the protruded part 38 is pushed away inside along the diameter direction can be evaded. This makes it possible to surely prevent loose-fit of the both housings 10, 20 and a minute sliding-abrasion of both terminal fittings 12, 22.
