PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a display of a purchase assist is hard to read and complete retrieving performance is not secured as to a method for retrieving and providing the purchase assist (coupon or discount ticket) by using a portable terminal such as a portable telephone which can be connected to a communication network such as the Internet. SOLUTION: The purchase assist is stored on an information server 1 with a file size suitable for a display on the portable terminal 3 which can be connected to the communication network 4 and a keyword and property classification information are added and stored on the information server. Retrieval condition data regarding a purchase assist creator which is able to use the purchase assist are received from a customer and a purchase assist meeting conditions of the customers is retrieved from a database on the information server, so that the customer received the purchase assist as the retrieval result through the communication network.
