PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and lighten a structure of a rotation suppressing device to be used for a small-sized electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: This rotation suppressing device comprises a rotation shaft fixed to a rotation component or an apparatus body, a cylindrical braking member made of abrasion-resistant engineering plastics of which the inner peripheral surface tightly engaging with the rotation shaft has a round cross section and outer peripheral surface has a non-circular cross section, and a plastics-made bearing member tightly contacting with the outer peripheral surface of the braking member. The rotation shaft is press inserted into the braking member.
