PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptable remote controller and an electronic apparatus to be operated thereby even when new function is added to the existing apparatus or the new electronic apparatus is added to a system. SOLUTION: The remote controller 30 can perform two-way radio communication among a digital broadcasting receiver 2, a TV monitor 3, an audio apparatus 5, etc., and operates these electronic apparatus by remote control. A control program for operating the new digital broadcasting receiver 2 and the new TV monitor 3 by the remote controller 30 is supplied from their apparatuses to the remote controller 30, when the remote controller 30 makes request to send to the digital broadcasting receiver 2 or the like.
