摘要 The method involves driving at least one steering actuator depending on the position of a steering wheel, driving an electrical feedback actuator depending on the forces transferred from the road to the steered wheels, monitoring the steer-by-wire system, changing to reversionary mode if it fails and operating the feedback actuator and/or steering actuator to reduce the forces or torques to be transferred from the driver to the steering wheel. The method involves driving at least one steering actuator (15) controlling the steered wheel (17) position depending on the position of a steering wheel (1), driving an electrical feedback actuator (7) depending on the forces transferred from the road to the steered wheels, monitoring the function of the steer-by-wire system, changing to reversionary mode if it fails and operating the feedback actuator and/or steering actuator to reduce the forces or torques to be transferred from the driver to the steering wheel. Independent claims are also included for the following: a computer program for implementing the method, a controller and a steer-by-wire system.
