<p>A system for reducing glare from vehicle headlamps comprises polarising the light emanating from said headlamps. Preferably the system further comprises viewing means which do not pass light polarised by said polarising means. Advantageously, the polarising means is a filter. Conveniently, the polarising means comprises a film or coating applied to the headlamp, or a lens attached to the headlamp. Advantageously, the viewing means is a filter. Suitably, the viewing means comprises a film or coating applied to the windscreen and/or rear-view mirrors. Alternatively the viewing means comprises polarising spectacles worn by the driver.</p> |
