PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search out an achiral optically inactive polymer that can recognize a conventionally unrecognizable chiral low-molecular compound and recognizes it by a non-covalent relatively weak interaction between them. SOLUTION: There is provided an organosilicon polymer comprising an achiral optically inactive organosilicon polymer represented by formula (2) (wherein R1 is a group comprising a 1-10C hydrocarbon chain; R2 is a 1-10C linear hydrocarbon group or a straight chain composed of hydrocarbon chains bonded through an O, N, or Si atom and is boned to the meta or para position of the phenyl group bonded to the Si atom; and n is in the range of 10-100,000) and utilized in virtue of its capability of forming an optically active polymer micro-association in the presence of a chiral low-molecular compound by a non-covalent interaction between them.
