A granular pesticidal or herbicidal composition comprises a pesticide or herbicide and the granular residue remaining after the aqueous extraction of ground coffee beans. Specified herbicides are 2, 4-D 4-chloro-2-methyl-phenoxyacetic acid, 2, 4, 5-T and esters, salts and amides thereof; 2, 4-bis (ethylamino)-6-chloro-1, 3, 5-triazine; 2, 6-dichlorobenzondonitrile or 2, 4, 6-trichlorobenzonitrile. Specified pesticides are DDT, Aldrin, hexachorocyclohexane, 2, 4, 5, 41-tetrachlorodiphenylsulphone, 2, 4, 5, 41-tetrachlorodiphenyl sulphide, Parathion, Malathion (Registered Trade Mark), Zineb, triphenyl tin acetate or dichloropropene.
