PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a clamp head from rattling and stop the clamp head still at a low position in unclamping. SOLUTION: This clamp device comprises a brace 11 for receiving a material to be clamped, the clamp head 20 rotationaly arranged relative to the brace 11, and a clamp cylinder 14 rotationally moving the clamp head 20 and clamping the material to be clamped received by the brace 11 by the brace 11 and the clamp head 29. A rack 12 is arranged in the side of the brace 11, a pinion 18 threadedly engaged with the rack 12 is pivoted on a knuckle member 15 arranged in a piston rod 16 of the clamp cylinder 14, and the clamp head 20 is fixed to the pinion 18 so as to be rotationally arranged relative to the brace 11.
