PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily replace a member of a device for restricting the upper-side rotating speed of a balancing hoist. SOLUTION: The hoist has a ball screw 19 rotationally supported in a housing 10, a ball screw is rotatable with a piston 14 which is vertically slidably in the housing 10 with an air pressure, and a rope drum 17 is carried thereby. The hoist also has a ball nut firmly joined to the housing 10. The rope drum 17 vertically slidable on the ball screw 19 is joined to the ball screw with torsional rigidity. One end of the ball screw 19 is protruded into the hosing chamber 22 accessible from the outside. The end of the housing 10 is provided with a lid 22a.
