PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reach forklift for reducing a braking distance and reducing the turning amount of a vehicle during braking. SOLUTION: When a difference in rotating speed between a front wheel and a rear wheel exceeds a preset value, judgement is made that the rear wheels are slipped or locked and the front wheels should also be braked, and the front wheels are also braked. For a braking liquid pressure to determine the braking force of the front wheels, a regular liquid pressure is selected if a fork is lifted lower than preset and a correcting liquid pressure lower than the regular liquid pressure is selected if it is higher, thus producing less front wheel braking force than usual during lifting higher and handling more.
