PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for protecting a protein in a solid state from ionizing radiation, and a drug composition comprising combination thereof. SOLUTION: Before the protein is exposed to the ionizing radiation, the protein is mixed with an amount of methoxysalicylaldehyde derivatives, preferably 3-methoxysalicylaldehyde for protecting from the radiation ; an amount of methoxysalicylaldehyde derivatives, preferably 3-methoxysalicylaldehyde and 6-hydroxy-2, 5, 7, 8-tetramethylchroman-2-carboxylic acid for protecting from the radiation; or an amount of methoxysalicylaldehyde derivatives, preferably 3-methoxysalicylaldehyde for protecting from the radiation and isopropanol.
