PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink drying prevention device capable of preventing drying of an ink inside an ink-jet recording head over a long time. SOLUTION: An ink drying prevention device for preventing drying of an ink 6 inside an ink-jet recording head 3, comprising a porous member 1 to be impregnated in a non-volatile sealing liquid 2 non-compatible with the sealing liquid 2 inside the head 3 for supporting the same, with the porous member 1 capable of contacting with an ejection surface 4 of the ink-jet recording head 3, is provided. The sealing liquid prevents drying of the ink inside the nozzle exposed on the ejection surface by forming a plurality of meniscuses at the interface with the ejection surface or in the inside of the porous member so as to block the air path.
